Dave Watkins is a collaborative singer-songwriter based in Walyapup / Fremantle, Western Australia. 

He fronts his band ‘Dave Watkins and The Fair Weathers, named after their inaugural show, which took place in the midst of a thunderstorm as a crowd danced in the muddy floodwaters, slotting into the genre of alt-rock / Blues, with a playfu gypsy twist and folk resonance. With his larger-than-life voice and unique brand of quirky rock, this venture leans into Watkins more playful writing style. Raw power and emotion are infused into strong gypsy and folk elements. Both high energy and ridiculous fun, their sets surprise and get your feet moving. The Fair Weathers boast a thunderously tight rhythm section, deep and dirty octave-heavy guitars, a roaming lead harmonica player with bonus hip shaking, and voices in bold radiant harmony. The Fair Weathers convey utter silliness with style and sophisticated musicianship. Before branching out on his own, Dave was the singer and guitarist for Perth band World 'A' Fuzzy' until 2015. He is also the frontman of the currently established Perth alt-rock five-piece band 'Yalla Yalla', known for their textural layering of majestic and orchestral rock sounds, established in 2014. He has been honing his craft for over 20 years and has proven himself as a talented and seasoned musician. 

Dave has had a great year of touring within Western Australia and has recently performed at various festivals including Blossom Festival, Pox Eclipse, The Wild Campout, Circle of Trees, and Gascoyne Food Festival.

When playing solo, Dave delivers a complete and captivating sound that sets him apart from the crowd. Songs cover a range of topics, from love-lost to lost wallets, co-existence, desire, and mortality. Incorporating the genres of delta blues and rock 'n' roll, Dave has a dynamic set that excites crowds.
